TUNNEL BUNDLE
New York Post, December 4, 1992

THE former owners of The Tunnel have agreed to pay more than $1 million to a 27-year-old woman who charged she was sodomized in a bathroom stall at the West 27th St. nightclub. Madeline Lee Dryer, the woman's lawyer, told us that in 1988, when the alleged attack took place, "the club had separate bathrooms. But as a gimmick, they made them unisex. They were trying to incite an S&M environment." No one was ever arrested, but the woman sued the club's landlord and brought a separate action against co-owner Eli Dayan, the faded Bonjour jeans tycoon, who declared bankruptcy. The club, now owned by Peter Gatlen, reopens next month.
